This is a multi-tasking office dream, with options for high end resolution scanning and copying, along with a credible speed of printing for everyday tasks.  This is a compact machine which will fit into a small office with simplicity and looks sleek and modern too.  The duty cycle of 35,000 pages per month, will allow uninterrupted work flow, however demanding this may be throughout the day.  The printer comes set-up as network ready and Oki have added in the option for the ability to scan directly to the network by allowing you to input the relevant address directly into the interface.

There are two types of Oki toner available for this model.  The lowest capacity toners have 1,000 pages yield for all four colours.  The higher capacity Oki C3520MFP toner is still fairly low with 2,000 page capacities for the three colours and then 2,500 capacity for the black.  The machine also takes an imaging drum (15,000 page yield), transfer belt (50,000 page yield) and a fuser unit (30,000 page yield).  This could make this a costly machine if you use this printer for full colour printing and scanning and other printers may be a better option if you need to do toner intensive printing.

The printer is reasonably easy to set-up onto your server with menu options on the printer and a few scrolls through to input your IP address.  This can be deleted and amended at any time if necessary.  Get to grips with the Oki HotKey utility which allows for scans to be taken directly to the PC.  Connectivity is via USB 2.0 and Ethernet 10/100 Base TX; none of these cables come with the printer in the box.

The print speeds are 12 pages per minute for colour and 16 pages per minute for black and white printing and the print quality is enhanced with ProQ2400 dpi.  Scanning speeds are 20 pages per minute with resolution of 4800dpi and copier speeds are the same as printing speeds with 600 x 600 dpi resolution.

The machine has an automatic document feeder with a capacity of 50 sheets and the printer works with both PC’s and Mac’s.  As this is a smaller machine the processor is 200 MHz with 128 MB memory, with no room for expansion.
