The HP Color LaserJet 4700 is a printer designed to work in a multitude of scenarios. It has an impressive duty cycle of 100,000 pages and an even better huge paper capacity, allowing this printer to be purchased by medium to large businesses and for those workgroups, where printing is a major part of the day. The printer offers impressive colour output along with speed, reliability and flexibility.
Another question people frequently ask, is how difficult is it to change the HP toner on a printer. This is often because they want everyone to be able to undertake the task, rather than having to wait for an administrator to arrive and take care of it. Happily, this machine has a very easy to read LCD panel, giving clear instructions as to which LaserJet 4700 toner needs changing. It is possible, if you have upgraded from a previous model, you may be able to use the same toners, as HP 4650 toner also fits this printer. The toner itself comes in either 11,000 page yields for the black or 10,000 page yields for the cyan, magenta and yellow HP 4700 toner.
Part of the flexibility of this machine, is with its ability to turn into a wireless model with the additional purchase of an Ethernet external print server. This is handy for small and large offices alike, who want to cut down on the hassle of wires and cabling. That said, if you do need a cable, the printer runs off a USB cable. The printer can work with both Mac and PC software.
If you buy this printer, work rate will definitely increase, as this printer is capable of print speeds of 30 pages per minute for both colour and black and white printing. Output is amazing; with even photographic tasks rendering properly, which eradicates the need for an additional inkjet in the office. The resolution is ImageREt 3600 and the printer offers software enhancements to make images appear as clearly as possible.
The usability continues, with the printer having slots for flash memory slots and the memory can be increased from the 128 MB to 544 MB. The printer can also handle double-sided printing automatically and the paper capacity can be increased from 600 sheets to 2,600 sheets with the addition of four extra paper trays.
