Medium to large sized businesses would benefit from using the HP Color LaserJet CP3525 on a regular basis as it offers a 75,000 page monthly duty cycle and produces quality print documents, making it a versatile printer which can lend it to general printing and more complex graphical documents. The control panel has 4 lines of colour text for any user to be able to understand what issues the printer may have or allow the user to navigate easily and simply through the various options this machine has to offer.
The toner situation is a standard set up with four hp 3525 toner in cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The three colours are only available in one capacity which is a 7,000 page yield. This differs for the black with it offering a standard and high capacity. The hp cp 3525 toner in black offers 5,000 page yield or 10,500 page yield, giving plenty of flexibility for options when needing toner for long text print runs and in offices where the printer is used all day long. The printer has a couple of other replaceable parts; a fuser unit and a toner collection unit.
This printer has the following connectivity ports; a USB 2.0, EIO slot and a HP Jetdirect Gigabit Ethernet embedded print server. It can be set up by either an administrator or a relative newbie, with simplicity due to the CD sent with the machine having network setup installation features. This allows for both hardware and network verification.
The print speeds on this machine are the same for both colour and black and white printing, with an exceptional 30 pages per minute achieved. Different types of media are supported by this machine with envelopes, opaque film, transparencies and then the usual types of paper including pre-printed and pre-punched.
Memory slots are available to take this printer from the standard 256 MB right up to 1 GB. The processor power is 515 MHz along with double-sided printing offered on the higher models. The standard paper capacity is 350 sheets and this can be enhanced to 850 sheets with the addition of a 500 sheet tray.
