Xerox ColorQube 8570
The Xerox ColorQube 8570 is a fast, colour, solid ink printer designed to work best in busy offices requiring a high volume of print with a professional finish. A monthly print load of around 8,000 pages is a suggested guideline of usage and would therefore suit small to medium offices with multiple projects and in-house design. The monthly duty cycle of 85,000 also corroborates the ability of this machine to perform adequately in a high usage environment.
Xerox has equipped this machine with numerous features as standard. Firstly, the Xerox ColorQube 8570 operates with black, cyan, magenta and yellow solid ink. The basic paper handling is a 525 sheet tray, with a further 100 sheet multipurpose tray. Whilst duplexing is available on all three different models, the 8570N only offers double-sided printing if an additional upgrade is purchased. The 8570DN and 8570DT both come with double sided printing as standard and the 8570DT also includes an additional paper tray.
Initial set-up and connectivity for the Xerox ColorQube 8570 is hassle-free with straightforward automatic installation process. Options for connectivity are 10/100/1000Base TX Ethernet, IPv6, USB 2.0 and an optional wireless IEEE802.11a/b/g connection.
The Xerox ColorQube 8570 offers fantastic clarity of image and text detail with a print resolution offering of 2400dpi FinePoint. This is an extremely efficient machine; with print speeds of 40 ppm for both colour and monochrome and the timings of the first page out for both is 5 seconds. The paper capacity starts at 625 sheets as standard, with further expansion to an impressive 2,200 sheets. A maximum of three additional trays can be purchased to achieve the highest amount. The supported media types are varied enough to offer varied solutions including plain paper, card, envelopes, labels, transparencies and trifold brochure paper.
One of the main reasons the Xerox ColorQube 8570 handles image and text processing so quickly is due to the processing power of 1Ghz. The printer is equipped with a standard memory capacity of 512 mb with plenty of room for expansion to 2 GB if the business requirements grow. Numerous standard print features include: consumable life reporting, fit-to-page printing, auto-tray switching, remote printing, scaling, supply life indicator, image smoothing, PhaserSMART automated troubleshooting, job completion notification and email alerts. Several security features come as optional, including user authentication for aiding data protection, hard disk collation, personal print, personal saved print, proof print and secure print.
