If you are looking for a true small business or home user machine, then the Dell 1320c is the perfect printer for you. With a fantastic proportion of symmetry and balance, this machine will look very stylish on your desk, blending in with your office effortlessly. The Dell 1320c offers a small duty cycle of 35,000 pages per month, demonstrating this is a machine for medium usage. Dell is also trying to meet ecological demands by offering N-Up printing, the use of recycled paper and have tried to remove all toxic materials from the printers and toners. This is also a relatively cheap printer to buy at point of sale.
The Dell 1320c is aware of how it can be competitive against the current inkjet market, which often has levelled against it, how expensive they are to run over time. We are not sure Dell measures up against other printers on the market but certainly, if used judiciously, then this printer can offer superb quality along with a relatively small cost of running. Dell 1320c toner can be purchased in either 1,000 page yields or 2,000 page yields for all four colours; showing how heavy usage would easily eat into these capacities. The toners are true simplicity to change, with a side panel allowing access to all four toners in a vertical line. With a 250 sheet tray and a single-sheet multipurpose feeder, you are unlikely to run out of paper during your print run.
The printer makes no demands on the user when it comes to making it work with your software. It should be noted this machine is not compatible with Mac operating software but the usual Windows platforms are supported. Dell also offer 24 x 7 support via the Internet and have decent warranty offers with a 24 hour swap out offered if the technical team are unable to reconcile the problem on the telephone. It is worth checking out the web configuration tool and the Colour Track and Toner Management system; both of which allow the administrator full control over who have access to colour and lets you know when you are running low on toner.
For a little printer, it certainly packs a punch when it comes to print speeds with offerings of 16 pages per minute black and white and 12 pages per minute for colour. The 600 x 600 dpi resolution perhaps sounds a bit misleading, as this printer produces amazing imagery for a budget printer and you will not be disappointed with the output of any type of documents you try. The printer takes around 16 seconds to get going from being switched on in the morning, which is, once again a decent result.
This is an innovative entry level machine which deserves to be a hit in the marketplace it is aimed at. With a 333MHz processor and 64 MB of memory, we can guarantee this machine will be reliable, time after time. We believe Dell have definitely come up with a winner.
